Performance Unit Water Storage – Model 5549

The performance unit consists of a rigid steel frame construction and is equipped with three stainless steel containers for the storage of specimens in water in accordance with standards.

The specimens can optionally be stored in a vertical or horizontal position.

Each container is equipped with an immersion thermostat that allows precise control of the water temperature.

The containers can be used individually, as each of them is equipped with an independent inlet valve and an independent drainage system.

The unit provides a storage capacity for 240 prisms (40 × 40 × 160 mm) in a horizontal position or for 630 prisms in a vertical position. Alternatively, up to 540 cubes with an edge length of 50 mm (2 inches) can be stored.

Advantages

✓ Compatible with the ToniSYSTEMLABORATORY
✓ Easy operation and handling
✓ High storage capacity at small footprint
✓ Integrated thermostat with digital display for the actual value and the set value
✓ Open and clear arrangement of the specimens

Description

Design

The performance unit „water storage“ consists of a sturdy steel frame construction, that is made of lacquered stainless steel. It is equipped with three stainless steel basins for the storage of the specimens. Each basin comes with a drain, a standpipe valve and an inlet valve.

Three integrated immersion thermostats serve for tempering of the water.

Operating Principle

The basins can be filled with water independently of each other up to the overflow level of the standpipe valve. The specimens are stored on plastic grills inside the basins. The models that are designed for the vertically storage of prisms are additionally equipped with grids in that the specimens are put into.

Immersion thermostats heat up the water to the desired set temperature (≤ ambient temperature) and maintain the water temperature constant under recirculation. If required different temperatures can be choosen for each basin.

For the draining and cleaning of the basins the standpipe valve is removed. The water runs off through the integrated pipe system.
