Testing Machines and Instruments for Concrete
Concrete
Concrete is made from a mixture of cement, water and aggregates. Additives are added to this mixture as required. The cement serves as a hydraulic binder.
The strength of cement is normally between 20 N/mm² and 50 N/mm², but the strength of high-performance concrete and reinforced concrete can be 200 N/mm² and more. The modulus of elasticity (Young’s modulus) of concrete ranges from 15,000 N/mm² to 45,000 N/mm² (depending on the cement paste, the volume of the cement paste, the aggregates used and the reinforcement).
Due to the brittleness of the concrete, the elongation at break is in the range of a tenth of a percent. In relation to the specimen dimensions, this means deformations in the range of only a few hundredths of a millimeter; hardly more than a hair’s breadth. Accordingly, Toni Technik testing systems are designed for deformation resistance and equipped with highly sensitive and reproducible fracture detection.
In addition, we offer complete solutions for standard-compliant specimen preparation by the ToniSYSTEMLABORATORIUM, which are planned and implemented according to customer requirements, even for existing testing laboratories.
You benefit from our decades of experience with a wide variety of testing requirements.
