Bricks are divided into different strength classes according to their determined compressive strength.
The compressive strength of bricks can be tested with our servo-hydraulic compression testing machines according to standardized procedures. To withstand possible explosive fractures, the machines must be equipped with a reinforced load frame and a specially adapted ball seat.
Tiles are usually tested in a flexure testing machine with forces between 10 and 50 kN,
The strength of paving stones is usually determined by a split tensile test with a special testing device according to DIN EN 1338 in a load frame of our testing machine
