Cement
Cement is a very old binder that was already used by the Romans over 2000 years ago. The main raw materials for the production of cement are limestone, clay, sand and iron ore, which are burned in a rotary kiln and form cement clinker as a result of chemical reactions. The cement clinker is finely ground and with the addition of gypsum, modern Portland cement is produced.
Cement in combination with water and other various aggregates is the basis for mortar and concrete. The ratio between these substances determines the subsequent properties such as strength, durability and elasticity. Various standards have been established around the world to ensure the quality of the final product through various tests at different stages of the production process. The most common standards for determining strength are EN 196 and ASTM C-109.

Compact, fully automatic test plant for standard-compliant flexural strength tests on cement and other binding materials, preferably on prisms 40 x 40 x 160 mm in accordance with EN 196 and ISO 679.

Compression Test Plant ToniZEM
Test plant in compact design for efficient compressive strength tests on cement and other binding materials, preferably on:
– Prisms 40 x 40 x 160 mm according to EN 196 and ISO 679,
– cubes with 50 mm (2 inch) edge length according to ASTM C 109
– cubes with 70.7 mm edge length according to BS 1881.
Compression and Bending Test Plant ToniPRAX
Combined test plant for the standard-compliant testing of the compressive and flexural strength of cement and other binding materials, preferably for the efficient quality control of:
- Prisms 40 x 40 x 160 mm according to EN 196 and ISO 679,

Testing Instruments
Free Lime Analyzer ToniLIME
The analyzer TonLIME is designed to determine the content of free, uncombined lime in cement and cement clinker.
The operating principle is based on the measurement of the electric conductivity in a solution consisting of cement and hot glycol in comparison with a stored calibration curve.
