The grain size of a powder has an essentially influence to the characteristics of a material.

In the cement production for example the grain size has a direct influence to the strength properties. The specific surface according to Blaine is an indirect unit for the grain size. The exact, easy and fast determination in the laboratory and also already in the production process (e.g. at the mill) is of fundamental importance.

Our automatic Blaine intsruments ToniPERM Standard and ToniPERM type Dyckerhoff are the ideal measuring instruments for this application.

The grain size of other powdery materials, like coal dust, aluminum, iron ore, and materials of the pharmacy is also to determine very quickly, easily and exactly with our Blaine instruments.
