Concrete components are manufactured in diverse shapes and dimensions, which are cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and installed. Some of these components have to be tested “as one unit”.
Test applications range from typical standard tests to individual, complex component tests, like testing of pillars with the initiation of lateral forces.
Therefore, depending on the technical requirements the approval tests for the concrete components are usually performed by research and development institutes. For these institutes Toni Technik plans, designs and realizes individual solutions in direct cooperation with the customer.
A challenging test application is railway sleepers as they are exposed to high stress by different loads. For those components the manufacturer has to prove continuously the quality during the production process, manly according to EN 13230-4 or AREMA section 4.1.
Therefore, Toni Technik provides a specially designed testing system for this application.
Another fast-growing application field is fibre-reinforced concrete. High rigid load frames are required for accurate and precise testing. Special bending tools for beams and panels will be used to carry out tests according to different standards, as for instance EN 14488-3, EN 14651,EN 14488-5 as well as: ASTM C 1609 and ASTM C 1550
