Admixtures – Additives

Additives and admixtures fulfill several tasks in the building material formulations. In addition to accelerating and decelerating setting processes, they also serve to increase the strength and to influence the colour of building materials.

They are used both in solid and liquid form, e.g. as pigments or chemicals. As a rule, the properties of these additives are tested on the formulation in the classic cement test, i.e. on prisms 40 x 40 x 160 mm.

The ToniMIX Visco-Expert, with the feature of storing customer-specific mixing processes is specially designed for this challenge.

Higher requirements like the E-modulus test or special processes in sample preparation find use in this application.
